This museum is unique as much for its locale as for its subject. Dedicated to the 1960 Winter Olympics that were hosted by Squaw Valley USA in Lake Tahoe, the Olympic Museum is housed in Squaw's High Camp. The camp, built on a plateau high on the ski slopes of the resort, features the museum, a skating rink and pool and restaurants, and is accessible by the lifts or by cable car.
