There are numerous places to ice skate in the Tahoe area but few rival the views afforded by the Olympic Ice Pavilion at the Squaw Valley USA resort. The ice rink is located at Squaw's High Camp, based high on the ski slopes and accessible by cable car, and the outdoor rink is surrounded by the slopes and sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The ice pavilion is one of several High Camp facilities and is joined by a swimming lagoon and spa, tennis (summer only) and restaurants.
